Arenanet has made it very clear that they will not add races to guild wars ever.
Also, I'm not a mod, but search more. There are already at least 20 suggestions for adding dwarves to the game.

I think the basic issue here is the time and money it would take to add new races. It would require artists to do concept drawings which have to be translated to 3D models. Then you have to design and code the various face and hair styles as well as the various colors. Unfortunately if you think it stops with just dwarves you are wrong. They would almost certainly have to add tengu as well. All of that work costs money. Since they charge no monthly fee that means a change in price point. I don't know about you but I don't want to pay 70-80 dollars for the regular version. One race is just cheaper, especially since the system of the game offers no inherent modifiers that could be applied to race. All attributes are profession based. If they stuck with the same engine, and why wouldn't they?, then you would just be playing a human with a different skin.

What else does WoW have that people want? If you want to play WoW, then play it. I suppose you want to have lvl 50 chars aswell.

While I did read Tolkien's books, I was referring more to Dragonlance's dwarves. Though I'll admit, Flint Fireforge's race does seem much like Gimlie's.

A pity.
Its one of the reason's ive been more inclined to play other games such as Lineage2 instead of GuildWars.
Lineage2 also has alot more of actual Clan wars features in it than Guildwars itself.
Dont start trashtalking Lineage2 please, its quests and storyline may not be the best, but thats besides the point.
The point here is, Guildwars is trying not to become too "WoWish", and wants to make a difference, which i tottally respect, but would still love if they introduced new races.
I supose you could say Guildwars lacks that Mysticism (elves, orcs, etc) that Playable characters should have.
This is merelly my opinion on the matter.
If you disagree just keep on playing the wonderful game that Guildwars is, and ignore everything i just said.

Yes, but Tolkien is the 'God' of the genre we now know as Fantasy.
I still love my idea of bad, evil, magic-wielding, religious zealot dwarves, but that's off-topic and I haven't written them into anything in the setting I've invisioned, anyway.
